The director of horror movies Vacancy and Predators, Nimród Antal has set up his next project, an action-thriller titled Retribution that has Liam Neeson attached to star.
Deadline reports that the film from Studiocanal, The Picture Company and Ombra Productions is being compared to Speed. Neeson plays “a businessman who discovers that a bomb has been planted in the car he’s driving by an unknown assailant, who tells the driver to execute a series of commands throughout the day or the bomb will be detonated.”
“Making things worse, the businessman is accompanied in the car by his family.”
Retribution is a remake of the Spanish film El Desconocido.
Chris Salmanpour and Andrew Baldwin wrote the script.
