New Asymmetrical Multiplayer Game ‘A Way To Be Dead’ Adds Zombies to the Mix

Of all the asymmetrical multiplayer games out there, it seems like there’s a serious dearth of zombies. Crania Games is looking to solve that with their upcoming title, A Way To Be Dead, which is slated to be “coming soon” to Steam.

The game, which takes place in the same reality as another of Crania Games’ titles, Roots of Insanity, has a pretty straightforward premise: players need to escape a mad doctor, who is on the hunt for a group of survivors in a hospital. The hospital also just so happens to be infested with zombies.

Players can either take on the role of Dr. Riley, the survivors or even the zombies. In fact, when playing as the survivors, if you do end up “expiring”, you come back as a zombie. Other mechanics include the ability to improve your character using “Therapy Points” after winning a session, using the environment to your advantage in order to reach your next objective (or hinder the enemy), and the numerous customization options available for a match (setting the time until the lights are shut off, the amount of zombies, loot ratios, the number of exits, etc.).

The game also has a randomization feature for the pre-designed paths in the maps that change randomly for each session. So much for memorization!

You can currently wishlist the game on its Steam page, as well as check out the trailer below.
