Zack Snyder‘s 4-hour “Snyder Cut” of DC superhero movie Justice League is coming exclusively to HBO Max on March 18, and a brand new teaser video once again promises the next full trailer this coming Sunday, February 14. This one gives us a clear look at Darkseid, who is being played by Ray Porter in the rated “R” version of the movie that fits Snyder’s true vision.
Created by Jack Kirby, super-villain Darkseid was first introduced back in 1970, “the tyrannical ruler of the planet Apokolips whose ultimate goal is to conquer the universe by eliminating all hope and free will in sentient beings.” The archenemy of the Justice League, Darkseid has previously been voiced by Michael Ironside, Andre Braugher and even Tony Todd.

The “Snyder Cut” is said to be quite a bit different and a whole lot darker than the film’s theatrical cut, with Jared Leto‘s Joker from Suicide Squad being brought into the mix for it.
This version of the movie, packed with previously shot footage from Zack Snyder’s version of Justice League that we’ve never seen, along with 4 or 5 minutes of brand new footage that Snyder began shooting just last year, is rated “R” for “violence” and “language.”
In Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
