In the wake of Evan Rachel Wood and several other women coming forward with their stories of abuse at the hands of Marilyn Manson, AMC’s Shudder has confirmed this week that a planned episode of their anthology series “Creepshow” starring Manson will no longer be airing. From what we gather, the episode had been filmed, and has now been scrapped.
“We can confirm the segment will not air,” Shudder tweeted last night. It sounds like that particular segment will be pulled and replaced by another in the episode it’s part of.
We’ve also learned that Starz has removed Manson from their series “American Gods.”
“Due to the allegations made against Marilyn Manson, we have decided to remove his performance from the remaining episode he is in, scheduled to air later this season. Starz stands unequivocally with all victims and survivors of abuse,” Starz told Deadline.
Evan Rachel Wood shared her story on Instagram this week, writing: “The name of my abuser is Brian Warner, also known to the world as Marilyn Manson. He started grooming me when I was a teenager and horrifically abused me for years. I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission. I am done living in fear of retaliation, slander, or blackmail. I am here to expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him, before he ruins any more lives. I stand with the many victims who will no longer be silent.”
