Not only does Bloober Team have another hit on their hands with The Medium, the title has managed to recoup development and marketing costs mere days after the game’s release.
In an interview with money.pl, a Polish financial outlet, Bloober team stated that the sales of The Medium have already reached levels that have covered the production and marketing costs of the game. While it was no doubt helped by the fact that the Xbox Series hasn’t had an exclusive title since the console’s launch, the other fact is that the game was made available on the Xbox Game Pass, which no doubt prompted many players to get a copy for themselves.
Whether the game will get DLC at some point isn’t clear, but with this pleasant revelation, there’s certainly a strong case for it.
The Medium (which again, we loved) is currently available on PC via Steam and GOG.com, the Xbox Series, as well as the aforementioned Xbox Game Pass.
“Sales of #TheMedium reached levels that covered the production and marketing costs of the game, producer Bloober Team reported. The game debuted on the market on Thursday, January 28 this year.”
