Never close your eyes again.
Before becoming a Star Wars clone, actor John Boyega was introduced to sci-fi and horror fans with his incredible performance in Attack the Block. Now, he’s taking his talents to the podcast world with Tomorrow’s Monsters, an original sci-fi thriller described as a modern-day Jekyll and Hyde. It launched today.
Created and directed by The Vault and The Signal‘s Dan Bush, who co-wrote along with tyro-writer Nicholas Tecosky, this original sci-fi thriller is about a conman with a vendetta who infiltrates a body-hacking startup committed to uncovering the mysterious truth behind a recent string of suicides and comes up against the company’s enigmatic CEO and his sinister split personality.
“Boyega stars as Jack Locke, a mysterious conman with a vendetta who infiltrates NextCorp, a Silicon Valley body-hacking startup run by enigmatic CEO Max Fuller, played by Emmy, Golden Globe and SAG award winner Darren Criss.
“Nextcorp has secretly been developing a revolutionary new mind app that promises to amplify the human brain in incredible ways. “Shut-Eye,” promises to change the world by eliminating its users’ need to sleep, but when participants of the human trials begin dying off, the program is shut down. Max starts testing the product on himself, unleashing a dormant and dangerous alter ego. As Jack goes toe to toe with Max and his fractured psyche, he finds himself on the run for his life in a race to stop a dark plot seeking to radically advance humankind to its next stage of evolution.”
The eleven-part narrative was produced by iHeartRadio, Beau Flynn of FlynnPictureCo., Dan Bush of Psychopia Pictures and John Boyega of UpperRoom Productions. Scott Sheldon and Shelby Thomas oversaw the project for FlynnPictureCo.
