Annabelle and Wish Upon director John R. Leonetti will next summon an ancient evil in Lullaby, hailing from Alcon Entertainment and being repped globally by Sierra/Affinity at the ongoing EFM, reports ScreenDaily. The hope is to find the completed film distribution by the end of the weekend.
When announced, Deadline wrote that “Lullaby is rooted in folklore and follows a new mother who discovers a lullaby in an ancient book and soon regards the song as a blessing. But her world transforms into a nightmare when the lullaby brings forth the ancient demon Lilith — which is part of the Hebrew phrase “Lilith-Abi” which translates to “Lilith, begone”.
Ramon Rodriguez (“The Wire”, “The Affair”) and Oona Chaplin (“Game of Thrones”) both star.
ScreenDaily notes that Leonetti also directed The Butterfly Effect 2 and has worked in the horror and tentpole sector for several decades. His cinematography credits include Child’s Play 3, Insidious: Chapter 2, The Conjuring, The Scorpion King, and Piranha 3D. He also worked on Tobe Hooper’s Poltergeist.
