‘Attack of The Murder Hornets’ Documentary Becomes Indie Game by TorpleDook

Remember the murder hornet craze last year? Airdorf and fellow indie dev TorpleDook sure do, as the developer of FAITH took to Twitter earlier to announce the new collab that just so happens to be about those giant insects from hell.

Appropriately named ATTACK OF THE MURDER HORNETS, the project was commissioned as a playable teaser on TorpleDook’s itch.io site by JH Artist Group and director Michael Paul Stephenson of Best Worst Movie (who directed the documentary of the same name), TorpleDook was the lead designer/developer, while Airdorf served as creative director.

The release coincides with the documentary, which is now streaming on Discovery+.

Taking the premise of the documentary and turning it up a notch, ATTACK centres on a crew of beekeepers and scientists teaming up to protect their Washington town from the Giant Asian Hornet. The game will take you a few minutes to complete, but hey, it’s free.

ATTACK does give off a few vibes of FAITH: The Unholy Trinity, which still has its third chapter currently in development for release “SOON” on Steam.
