Scream Factory Bringing the Shocking ‘Hunter Hunter’ to Blu-ray in June

A wolf may or may not be on the prowl in Shawn Linden’s Hunter Hunter, a thriller that shocked the horror world last year with one hell of a finale. The film is currently available on VOD but if you’d rather own a physical copy, Scream Factory soon brings it to Blu-ray.

Announced today, Hunter Hunter takes a bite out of Blu-ray on June 22.

Meagan wrote in her review for BD, “Hunter Hunter makes for a simple slow-burn thriller with a payoff that’s worth it. Within the familiar survival thriller setup lies a film unafraid to get savage, delivering one of the most hardcore endings in recent memory. It’s as brutal as it is strangely cathartic, but be sure to have a comfort watch on standby when it’s all over.”

In Hunter Hunter, “In the remote wilderness, fur trapper Joseph Mersault (Devon Sawa) and his family struggle to make ends meet. Believing their traps are being hunted by a returning rogue wolf, Joseph leaves his wife, Anne (Camille Sullivan), and daughter, Renée (Summer H. Howell), on their own as he launches a determined search to catch the apex predator in the act. Growing increasingly anxious as Joseph’s absence continues on, Anne reaches new heights of paranoia when a mysterious and severely injured man appears on her doorstep — and soon the threat of a predator in the woods becomes a threat much closer to home.”
