Director William Brent Bell is leaving Brahms behind for new horror movie Separation, which has been acquired by Open Road Films and Briarcliff Entertainment, Deadline reports.

The plan is to release Separation in theaters on April 23, 2021.

“The film tells of the terrifying consequences of divorce and is the story of a young girl who finds solace in her artist father and her dead mother.”

Rupert Friend, Violet McGraw, Mamie Gummer, Madeline Brewer and Brian Cox star.

Nick Amadeus and Josh Braun wrote Separation.

In addition to The Boy and Brahms: The Boy II, William Brent Bell also directed The Devil Inside. One of his next projects is Orphan: First Kill, a prequel to the 2009 movie Orphan.
