A second season of “Solar Opposites” has just crash-landed on Hulu, once again delivering nonstop insanity that constantly trickles into the horror space.
As previously reported, one episode celebrates Sigourney Weaver and her Ripley role in Aliens, while another unleashes hellhounds on dinner parties.
That’s just the tip of the iceberg. For example, the seventh episode, “The Unlikely Demise of Terry’s Favorite Shot Glass”, takes place almost entirely in a Predator spaceship.
One of the ongoing jokes in “Solar Opposites” is that one of the aliens shrinks humans and collects them like ants in a giant glass wall in his room. A pupa (the pink creature pictured below) watches their adventures for entertainment. An arc that has carried over from the first season leaves two of those humans in a Honey I Shrunk the Kids-like situation, with a group of possums trying to eat them.
They find sanctuary in the aforementioned Predator spacecraft from Alien vs. Predator – or, as they joke, is it from the end of Predator? Watch the episode on Hulu today!
