EPIX Horror Series “From” Will Trap People in a Town Filled With Creatures

In the wake of acquiring A24’s Saint Maud, EPIX will continue competing for horror fan dollars with their upcoming 8-film Blumhouse collaboration, along with a new original series that’s just been announced. Detailed by Deadline, EPIX has given the green light to a sci-fi/horror series titled “From,” created by John Griffin (Crater) and with 10 episodes ordered up.

Deadline reports, “Written by Griffin, From unravels the mystery of a nightmarish town in middle America that traps all those who enter. As the unwilling residents fight to keep a sense of normalcy and search for a way out, they must also survive the threats of the surrounding forest – including the terrifying creatures that come out when the sun goes down.”

From will deliver suspense, terror and cliffhanger moments, all while telling a truly engaging story with rich characters,” said EPIX’s Michael Wright. “We’re thrilled to be working with John Griffin and this talented creative team to bring the series to our audience.”

Jack Bender (“Mr. Mercedes”) will be directing the first four episodes of the series from Epix Studios and MGM International Television Productions. It’s likely coming to EPIX in 2022.

Producers include Midnight Radio and Joe & Anthony Russo’s AGBO.
