‘The Resort’ Takes You to an Abandoned Resort in Hawaii to Meet “The Half-Face Girl” [Trailer]

A group of good-looking young friends travel to a remote, abandoned location far from home… what could possibly go wrong?! Vertical Entertainment will take you to Hawaii for this month’s supernatural horror movie The Resort, introducing this particular group of friends to “The Half-Face Girl,” an evil entity that just so happens to call the island home.

The Resort is coming to Select Theaters and On Demand on April 30.

Check out the trailer and release art below.

“Four friends head to Hawaii to investigate reports of a haunting at an abandoned resort in hopes of finding the infamous Half-Faced Girl. When they arrive, they soon learn you should be careful what you wish for.”

The full plot synopsis provides some further details: “Lex is a writer obsessed with the paranormal. For her birthday, Lex’s three closest friends decide to take her on a surprise trip to an abandoned resort in Hawaii. The resort is the supposed haunt of an infamous ghost, The Half-Faced Girl, and Lex is determined to find her. When they arrive on the island, they find a massive, beautiful and eerily empty resort. Just as Lex decides that this was just an urban legend, her friends start to disappear one by one, leaving her at the mercy of the evil spirit.”

Bianca Haase, Brock O’Hurn, Michelle Randolph, and Michael Vlamis star in The Resort, which was filmed on location in Hawaii. Taylor Chien wrote and directed the movie.
