Xbox and Bethesda closed out their E3 2021 showcase with Redfall; a brand new game from Prey developer Arkane Austin, and it’s an open world co-op vampire-slaying game!
The cinematic trailer repeatedly flashes back to how a team of vamp hunters and their little robot buddy got into a fracas with a particularly nasty vampire in a deserted town.
It culminates in the squad walking away after the fight is won, casually bantering with each other as an ominous creature watches them from up on high.
The plot is described as follows,
The quaint island town of Redfall, Massachusetts, is under siege by a legion of vampires who have blocked out the sun and cut the island off from the outside world. Trapped with a handful of survivors against diabolical enemies threatening to bleed the town dry.
Redfall will be playable on your own, but you’ll also be able to bring three friends along to stake a few hearts with some inventive vampire-vanquishing tools. As a huge fan of Arkane’s games and vampire games (there aren’t enough of those!), this hits a very sweet spot!
Redfall will be an Xbox exclusive and launch in Summer 2022 on Game Pass.
