“The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf” – Netflix’s Anime Film Hunts Monsters in August [Trailer]

Face your demons.

In addition to the upcoming second season of “The Witcher” and spinoff series “The Witcher: Blood Origin,” we’re also getting an animated film titled The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf.

Nightmare of the Wolf premieres August 23, 2021 worldwide on Netflix.

Check out the official teaser trailer below, along with new character images.

“Before Geralt, there was his mentor Vesemir — a swashbuckling young witcher who escaped a life of poverty to slay monsters for coins. But when a strange new monster begins terrorizing a politically fraught kingdom, Vesemir finds himself on a frightening adventure that forces him to confront the demons of his past.”

The voice cast includes…

  • Vesemir – Theo James
  • Tetra – Lara Pulver
  • Deglan – Graham McTavish
  • Lady Zerbst – Mary McDonnell

The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf comes from “The Witcher” showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich and producer Beau DeMayo, as well as animation house Studio Mir.

Season 2 of “The Witcher,” meanwhile, premieres December 17.
