The Muppets are headed into the Haunted Mansion in the upcoming Disney+ special Muppets Haunted Mansion, a spooky treat that’s headed our way on the road to Halloween.
The Halloween special will premiere on October 8, and we’ve learned today that it will feature one of the final appearances from Ed Asner, who sadly passed away just last month.
As we recently learned, Darren Criss (“Glee”) will star as “The Caretaker.”
Deadline details, “The Muppets’ first-ever Halloween special, Muppets Haunted Mansion will feature the Muppets cast, celebrity cameos and new music and spooky amusement for families to enjoy later this fall. Muppets Haunted Mansion will take place on Halloween night, when Gonzo is challenged to spend one night in The Haunted Mansion.”
“Muppets Haunted Mansion” is part of the Disney+ “HallowStream” lineup, which also includes LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales, Under Wraps, and R.L. Stine’s “Just Beyond.”
