Red Band Trailer for DC Animated Movie ‘Injustice’ Delivers Bloody Violence and a Dark Superman

“Superman has created a police state… he needs to be stopped.”

The Joker forces a whole new attitude out of Superman when he kills Lois Lane in the upcoming DC event movie Injustice, an animated adaptation of the same-titled video game.

Rated “R” for “Bloody violence,” the movie comes to 4K, Blu-ray & Digital October 19. It’s produced by Warner Bros. Animation, DC and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment.

Watch the brand new RED BAND trailer below.

“Inspired by Injustice: Gods Among Us, and the best-selling DC graphic novel based on the video game, Injustice: Gods Among Us: Year One by Tom Taylor, the animated film finds an alternate world gone mad – where The Joker has duped Superman into killing Lois Lane, sending the Man of Steel on a deadly rampage. Unhinged, Superman decides to take control of the Earth for humanity’s own good. Determined to stop him, Batman creates a team of like-minded, freedom-fighting heroes. But when Super Heroes go to war, can the world survive?”

The voice cast includes Kevin Pollak as Joker, Justin Hartley as Superman, and Anson Mount as Batman. Other DC characters featured in the movie include Wonder Woman, Catwoman, Killer Croc, Harley Quinn, Aquaman, and Nightwing. Matt Peters (Justice League Dark: Apokolips War) directed Injustice from a screenplay by Ernie Altbacker (Batman: Hush).
