Inspired by ‘Devil May Cry’, Futuristic Action Game ‘Wanted: Dead’ Has You Severing Limbs And Battling Cyborgs

For those who enjoyed Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance‘s dismemberment and full-on cybernetic swordplay, developer Soleil and publisher 110 Industries have a little something for you. Announced during the Tokyo Game Show is Wanted: Dead, an over-the-shoulder action game for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC that will have you ripping off cyborg heads while dishing out justice.

Developed by former Team Ninja members (the trailer touts them having worked on Ninja Gaiden, Dead or Alive and uh, Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball), Wanted: Dead puts you in a futuristic Hong Kong, where you play a cyborg police officer named Lt. Hannah Stone. Stone is the head of the “Zombie Squad”, a department that operates outside of the view of the regular police force.

There’s not much else to go on at the moment, but given the glimpses of gameplay (complete with guns and katanas), and the fact that the team cites Devil May Cry and Bayonetta as inspiration, we’re in for a treat. The game is expected for release in 2022.

Also, for whatever reason, Soleil decided to drop a second teaser featuring a mock cooking show, so there you go.
