Korn’s Jonathan Davis Takes on Villain Role of “The Pet” in ‘The Devil’s Tree’

VFX artist-turned-director Joshua Petrino has entered post-production on his indie horror The Devil’s Tree and has just revealed to Bloody Disgusting that the film’s villain is played by none other than Jonathan Davis, lead singer of metal band Korn.

He will be playing the ominous “The Pet” alongside Addy Miller (little girl teddy bear zombie from “The Walking Dead” and Laid to Rest & ChromeSkull slasher Nick Principe.

In the film, “After visiting a landmark tree rumored to be a gateway to hell, a group of friends holds a pitiful house party where, without explanation, they realize they mentally can’t bring themselves to leave.

“Shortly after this revelation, torment and slaughter begin at the hands of a supernatural killer with a warped, sadistic sense of humor.”

“Jonathan did an amazing job as our villain,” says Petrino. “He really helped us create a memorable character and it was a lot of fun working with him.”

Producers are Joshua Petrino & Anthony Berenato Jr. Executive Producers are Felicia Michaels, Doug Tubach, Mark Riccadonna, Mike Saga, and Howard Smith, with special effects by Angie Elwell.

Here’s a sneak peek clip in which a character just had his tongue torn out and it’s up to his best friend to cauterize the wound………with a fire poker!
