The ‘Alien’ Xenomorph Appeared in Polaroid’s 1989 Holiday Commercial! [Video]

Our friend @HorrorMovieBBQ pointed us to a rarely seen commercial package from the holiday season back in the late 1980s that carries a nice little surprise.

Included within this assembly of commercial breaks taken from the Prime Movie presentation of A Christmas Story (Fox O&O WTTG in Washington, D.C.; December 12, 1989) is a spot for Polaroid in which a director yells “cut” on the set of an Alien sequel and commands the crew to “take a Polaroid picture”, most likely for continuity.

It’s a fun little nugget of forgotten nostalgia that’s just a small taste of the VHS-fed memories that are cut together in the following video. Hit play to watch the Polaroid snippet…
