The Epic Games Store Giving Away ‘The Vanishing of Ethan Carter’ For The Next 24 Hours

While developer The Astronauts are still working away at their upcoming dark fantasy shooter Witchfire, thanks to the Epic Games Store, you can grab the team’s first game for free. Once again, the Epic Games Store is doing their blitz of free games, with a new one every 24 hours until January 6, 2022. The latest is The Astronauts’ 2014 horror adventure game The Vanishing of Ethan Carter.

As always, to get in on the fun, sign up for an EGS account, head over to The Vanishing of Ethan Carter page on the EGS, click the button and the game is yours. Remember, the game is available until December 20th at 10:59am EST, so be quick. After that, it’s another new title.

The story for The Vanishing of Ethan Carter has the player assuming the role of paranormal investigator Paul Prospero. Prospero receives a fan letter from one 12-year-old Ethan Carter, inspiring him to come to Ethan’s hometown of Red Creek Valley, Wisconsin. Upon his arrival, however, Prospero begins experiencing paranormal phenomena, as well as evidence of some recent dark happenings in the tiny town.

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is also available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch.
