Up next from The Witch and The Lighthouse director Robert Eggers is a Viking revenge film titled The Northman, and the trailer has arrived today as an early Christmas gift.
Focus Features will release The Northman in theaters on April 22, 2022, described as “an action-filled epic that follows a young Viking prince on his quest to avenge his father’s murder.”
The cast in this one is absolutely incredible, with the official trailer promising a sweeping epic that should be precisely what fans of A24’s The Green Knight are looking for next. It’s not another *horror movie* from Eggers, per se, but we can expect that Eggers won’t be leaving the graphic violence behind in this one. Oh yes, Viking blood will indeed be spilled.
