‘Death Game’ – The 1970s Film That Inspired Eli Roth’s ‘Knock Knock’ Getting Grindhouse Releasing Blu-ray

Kicking off the New Year in style, Grindhouse Releasing has announced this week that they’re bringing Death Game to Blu-ray, the original ’70s classic that Eli Roth remade back in 2015 as Knock, Knock, which starred Keanu Reeves. They’re also bringing the film to theaters in NYC, LA, SF, Denver, St Louis, Boston, and Raleigh, with more cities being announced soon.

As for the Blu-ray, you can expect to get your hands on that one March 8, 2022!

The Deluxe 2-disc Blu-ray set will have a Grindhouse Releasing Exclusive “Meat Cleaver” edition, limited to 2,000 units and coming with an embossed meat cleaver keychain (below).

Seymour Cassel stars as George Manning, a family man whose perfect life is turned into a nightmare of sex and torture when he allows himself to be seduced by two nubile young strangers (Sondra Locke & Colleen Camp) who show up at his door on a rainy night. Considered lost for many decades, Death Game is presented for the first time on home video in its original 2.39:1 aspect ratio, meticulously restored in 4K from the original camera negative.”

Special Features:

  • Spectacular new 4K restoration created from the original camera negative
