New Update for ‘Resident Evil 4 VR’ Allows for Left-Handed Leons, Height Adjustment and More

For those who snagged Resident Evil 4 VR for their Oculus Quest, you’re in for a new update. Per the Oculus blog, thanks to player feedback, Capcom has updated the “mobility and comfort settings” for the classic Survival Horror title, as well as “enhanced gameplay” to give players more options.

Specifically, the newly-released update includes new controller-directional movement that allows players to steer your walking direction with your hand, the ability to swap your handedness from right to left, as well as height adjustment settings.

In addition, new accessibility settings have been added to include adjusting waist and chest holder positions, as well as an option for changing the color of the laser sight on weapons. Capcom has also included more reloading settings, bug fixes to improve saving, and other optimizations that “enhance various facets of the experience.”

Capcom’s not done with Resident Evil 4 VR, either. The complaint about Mercenaries Mode being omitted from the game is being rectified later this year as a free addition to the base game.

Resident Evil 4 VR is available now on Quest 2 for $39.99 USD.
