Exclusive ‘Shepherd’ Clip Burns in Hell’s Fire [Video]

Saban Films just shared with Bloody Disgusting an exclusive clip from Shepherd, a brand new supernatural horror from director Russell Owen that tells the story of a widower who attempts suicide after the suspicious death of his adulterous wife.

In the film, “Running from grief after the mysterious death of his wife, Eric Black takes a job as a shepherd. Trapped alone on a majestic weather-beaten island with an ominous secret. One man’s sudden, spiraling madness meets a vengeful supernatural force. What starts as the perfect wind-swept escape becomes a race to save his sanity and his life.”

The movie stars Tom Hughes, Greta Scacchi, Kate Dickie (The Witch) and Gaia Weiss (“Vikings”).

While UK audiences caught Shepherd back in November, the film is making its way to the U.S. theaters this week, on May 6th, with a VOD release slated for next Tuesday, May 10.

“Shot in one of the most beautiful, remote and less filmed parts of Britain, using specifically designed location and studio sets, we created a 360 degree, immersive environment to really build a true authenticity in a heightened, nightmarish tale,” said Russell Owen when announced on Deadline. “Shepherd allows its audience to decide for themselves the motivations behind (and the fate of) its protagonist by not giving its true foundations away.”
