Check Out This Rain-Drenched Video of the ‘Resident Evil Code: Veronica’ Fan Remake [Video]

The trio of developers currently working on the fan-made Resident Evil Code: Veronica remake have released a new and relaxing (?!) video of the remake in action. Or rather, it’s an in-engine demonstration of the rain effects interspersed with shots of Spencer Manor.

Still no zombies to speak of, but with all of the eye candy involved with the rain and the work on the environments, that can be forgiven. Plus, when was the last time you could say that a video involving Resident Evil was relaxing?

Created by Matt Croft, Briins Croft and DarkNemesisUmbrella, the Code: Veronica remake still doesn’t have a specific release date as of yet (other than this year), which is probably a good thing. The team has also stressed several times that Capcom is not involved with this one, though Capcom not mentioning anything about this so far is another plus.

This free remake of Code: Veronica is being remade in Unity, and will be released in 3 chapters. Each chapter will have approximately 4 hours of gameplay. The developers are even creating a “Lite” version of the remake for those with lower-end PCs, ensuring that “nobody is left out without being able to play the Remake”.

No word as to updates on the team’s remake of the Resident Evil remake, however.

Given that Netflix really is the master of their own data, how many times a viewer streams The Ridiculous 6, or what films don't get watched all the way straight through, or how many times someone watches an episode of Bill Nye Saves the World, it was easy for them to come up with the list based on just one percentage: 70 percent.
