If you enjoyed 10 Chambers’ GTFO, and are looking for something a little more demonic, Mad Raven Games is currently cooking up a co-op multiplayer shooter of their own with Nightmare Party. Slated for release in 2023 on Steam and powered by the Unreal Engine 5, the game blends survival horror with demon hunting, and plenty of gunplay.
The story is simple: you and four other demon hunters are trapped in a house, hunted by a demon and its minions. You’ve got to survive while working with your team to solve riddles and complete various tasks in order to obtain keys and other objective items to escape. Complicating matters is your “madness level”, which you’ll have to keep under 100 to avoid losing health. That’s on top of, you know, fighting off demons while searching for ammo, sedatives and painkillers.
Mad Raven Games also recently posted a devlog for Nightmare Party, which you can find below. Mad Raven Games’ Balázs Varga spends the time explaining the game’s development, showing off the progress, as well as talking about future plans. Varga also posted an August update on Nightmare Party’s Steam page, further going over the additions to the current build of the game, as well as its progress.
