‘Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse’ Releases March 9 for Consoles and PC [Trailer]

After the announcement back in September that Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse would finally be heading outside of Japan next year, developer Koei Tecmo has now announced a March release date. Along with the date, Koei Tecmo has release another trailer for the game, as well as pre-order details for the upcoming title.

Mask of the Lunar Eclipse will release for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC via Steam on March 9th, 2023. Alongside the standard version of the game, Koei Tecmo also announced the Digital Deluxe Edition for consoles, which includes the Rogetsu Isle Dinner Party Costume Set, and a digital art book, and the game’s soundtrack.

In addition, those who purchase the game by March 22, 2023 will get the Dead or Alive-inspired Marie Rose outfit for Ruka. For those that pre-order the game, you’ll receive several costumes, including the Ruka Limited Edition Costume “Fox Mask” (white/red), the Misaki Limited Edition Costume “Fox Mask” (black/red), the Choshiro Limited Edition Costume “Fox Mask” (black/blue), and the Ruka Misaki, and Choshiro Limited Edition Costume “Spirit Stone Flashlight Hat”. And, if you have save data from last year’s Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water on your console, you’ll get the Camera Obscura Hat.

Meanwhile, the new trailer provides a brief synopsis of the game’s story, where Ruka Minazuki, Misaki Asō and Madoka Tsukimori return to Rougetsu Island to discover the truth about their past.
