‘GRIME’ Heads to Playstation and Xbox Consoles December 15; New Free “Colors of Rot” Expansion Announced [Trailer]

Clover Bite is finally bringing their soulslike Metroidvania GRIME to consoles next month. And along with it, existing players and newcomers will also be able to enjoy a new expansion for GRIME in the form of “Colors of Rot”.

Announced for a December 15th release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One (Nintendo Switch users will sadly still have to wait, despite the previously-announced “Summer 2022” release), GRIME will also feature the “Colors of Rot” expansion. This DLC will be included with the PlayStation and Xbox versions from the start, and will be available as a free update for the existing PC version on Steam, the Epic Games Store and GOG.

“Colors of Rot” introduces new abilities, new weapons, new enemies, and a whole new area for players to explore and uncover called Childbed.

GRIME is an action-adventure RPG where you play as a humanoid being after having been “squeezed into existence” from unusual material. Born into an alien world, you survive by crushing your foes with living weapons that mutate form and function, and then consume their remains with a black hole to strengthen yourself in a world of “anatomical horror and intrigue.” You’ll have to make use of GRIME’s parrying mechanic, which is key to defeating foes and absorbing them to grow your strength.
