Motion Twin Teases ‘Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania’ DLC With Brief Trailer [Watch]

After being announced during The Game Awards last month, Motion Twin and Evil Empire have dropped a new teaser trailer for the upcoming Castlevania crossover DLC for Dead Cells. Rather than a slick animated trailer as before, this time around, we get some “blink and you’ll miss it” gameplay footage of the DLC in action. Yeah, it’s not much, but it definitely gets the job done with a nice throwback to the intro to the original Castlevania.

Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania will see the arrival of two new biomes for you to explore, including Dracula’s castle. You’ll also be able to unlock 14 iconic Castlevania weapons including the Vampire Killer, Throwing Axe & Holy Water. Best of all (at least for some), the DLC includes 51 of the original Castlevania music tracks, as well as 12 tracks reimagined in the style of Dead Cells.

The new storyline sees you coming upon a mysterious castle, where a man named Richter has asked you to help him vanquish a great evil within. Enticed by the promise of new loot (rather than a sense of moral duty), you strike out through the grounds and corridors of the gothic castle to find and kill this mysterious Dracula…

The Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania DLC arrives Q1 2023 for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch.
