New Game+ Available Now for ‘The Callisto Protocol’ in Latest Update

Striking Distance Studios has dropped a new update for The Callisto Protocol that introduces New Game+, which is earlier than the February 7th date the developer had proposed back in December. Alongside the addition of New Game+, the update also introduces several fixes for the game.

Detailed on The Callisto Protocol‘s official Reddit page, those who previously completed the game will now have access to New Game+ with the update. All of your weapons, upgrades, and Callisto Credits from your first run can be collected at the first Reforge.

In addition, several bugs and optimization issues have been addressed, which will no doubt please PC owners who were plagued with framerate drops.

There’s no word yet on The Callisto Protocol‘s Hardcore mode, which Striking Distance had previously mentioned would be included as part of a free update. Also, we’re still waiting on news regarding the game’s Season Pass, which is set to start rolling out on February 7th.

One would hope that once this post-launch content starts rolling out, things will improve for The Callisto Protocol, which has had a rocky start since its launch back in December.

The Callisto Protocol is out now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam. If you’re still on the fence about getting it, check out Thomas’ take on the game.
