Tickets go on sale very soon for 28 Years Later, the long awaited sequel to 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later, and Bloody Disgusting can exclusively unveil an exclusive, limited edition t-shirt available only at Alamo Drafthouse theaters with ticket pre-orders.
28 Years Later will be unleashed in theaters on June 20, 2025.
The exclusive t-shirt features the emaciated zombie that captured audiences’ attention in the trailer and is designed by Alamo Drafthouse’s own Chris Bilheimer.
The new limited shirt is $30 and available as a ticket add-on purchase when booking tickets to see the film via drafthouse.com. Drafthouse notes, “While supplies last, add it to your ticket order and pick it up at Concierge before your showtime.” Any items not picked up within 30 days will be void.
Considering the trailer was the second most watched new horror movie trailer in history upon its debut, behind only It: Chapter Two (2019), it feels safe to say that 28 Years Later is one of the year’s most anticipated releases and the limited t-shirts may go fast.
Alamo Drafthouse is also infecting their menu with killer cocktails themed to the sequel.
Ease your anxieties about the rage virus with three custom cocktails – The Rage, with Ilegal Mezcal, Liber & Co. Fiery Ginger, honey, and lemon, Survivors Tonic, with Hendrick’s Gin, grapefruit, lime, bitters, and a salted rim, and Bloody Shandy, with Stone IPA, Liber & Co. Blood Orange Cordial, and lemonade. This intense drink menu is available at all 28 Years Later shows through 6/30.
In 28 Years Later, “It’s been almost three decades since the rage virus escaped a biological weapons laboratory, and now, still, in a ruthlessly enforced quarantine, some have found ways to exist amidst the infected. One such group of survivors lives on a small island connected to the mainland by a single, heavily-defended causeway. When one of the group leaves the island on a mission into the dark heart of the mainland, he discovers secrets, wonders, and horrors that have mutated not only the infected but other survivors as well.”
Danny Boyle is back in the director’s chair, and Alex Garland (28 Days Later) wrote the screenplay for 28 Years Later.
The horror sequel’s cast includes Jack O’Connell (Amy Winehouse: Back To Black), Jodie Comer (Alone in the Dark, “Killing Eve”), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kraven the Hunter), Alfie Williams (“His Dark Materials”) and Ralph Fiennes (The Menu).
Tickets go on sale soon ahead of the sequel’s release in theaters later this month.
