‘Sweet Home’-Inspired ‘You Will Die Here Tonight’ Gets Halloween Release Date [Trailer]

Spiral Bound Interactive’s love letter to classic Survival Horror games in You Will Die Here Tonight now has the perfect release date. Originally announced back in July of last year, You Will Die Here Tonight arrives on October 31st for PC via Steam.

“After several years of hard work, we can’t wait to share the game with you.” reads the team’s statement the date on the game’s Steam page.

Mixing aspects of Capcom’s proto-Survival Horror game Sweet Home with Resident Evil, players will guide six members of the ARIES Division through a mansion from a top-down pre-rendered 3D perspective as they track down a dangerous killer. Unfortunately for them, the mansion is crawling with zombies. Ammo is in short supply, so you’ll often have to resort to running away from zombies. However, when running is no longer an option, you’ll be able to seamlessly switch to fully 3D first-person combat.

Much like Sweet Home, if one of your team members succumb in the game, you’ll have to continue on as one of the surviving members of ARIES. In doing so, you’ll be building upon their progress, as well as having to deal with the consequences of their actions. And much like its inspiration, each ARIES member has their own unique skills and motives that will determine how they confront the horrors of their mission.
