Kathryn Newton (Abigail) and Lana Condor (To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before) will star in the survival thriller Devil’s Mouth, Deadline reports.
It follows college friends who on a trip to get to Thailand who get trapped in an underwater cave system with a bull shark. Old tensions and power struggles resurface as they fight to survive.
Jeff Wadlow (Truth or Dare, Kick-Ass 2) will direct and produce alongside Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee of Thunder Road Films (John Wick, Sicario).
Aja Gabel (“Sunny”) and Myung Joh Wesner (“Star Wars: Skeleton Crew”) wrote the script, which was featured on the 2019 Black List, with revisions by Wadlow.
Amazon MGM Studios and Lionsgate are co-producing.
Newton will next star alongside Samara Weaving in Radio Silence‘s Ready or Not: Here I Come.
