Michelle Randolph (Scream 7, “1923”) is in talks to star in Malibu, THR reports.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, but the project is described as a subterranean horror-thriller.
The plan is to shoot later this year with Tod Williams (Paranormal Activity 2, Cell) set to direct for Screen Gems.
Roy Lee (It, The Ring) and Steven Schneider (Paranormal Activity, Insidious) are the producing via their Spooky Pictures banner.
Spooky Pictures recently produced Late Night with the Devil and Strange Darling. Lee and Schneider are also part of the producing team for Stephen King’s The Long Walk, hitting theaters September 12. They’re currently developing an adaptation of Scott Snyder’s horror comic Dungeon.
