In 2023, Five Nights at Freddy’s became the highest grossing horror film of the year. It was only a matter of time before we got a sequel. Today, we have a brand new trailer for Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, one that promises a new set of rules…and a whole new level of fear.
In the sequel, one year has passed since the supernatural nightmare at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. The stories about what transpired there have been twisted into a campy local legend, inspiring the town’s first ever Fazfest.
Former security guard Mike (Josh Hutcherson) and police officer Vanessa (Elizabeth Lail) have kept the truth from Mike’s 11-year-old sister, Abby (Piper Rubio), concerning the fate of her animatronic friends.
But when Abby sneaks out to reconnect with Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy, it will set into motion a terrifying series of events, revealing dark secrets about the true origin of Freddy’s, and unleashing a long-forgotten horror hidden away for decades.

From our first look at Skeet Ulrich in the film to the delightfully terrifying animatronics designed by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop, this trailer has us giddy. Not to mention the fact that Matthew Lillard seems to be well on his way to carving out another iconic horror villain role for himself.
Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 also stars Freddy Carter (The Convent), Theodus Crane (Sinners), Wayne Knight (Jurassic Park) and Mckenna Grace (Annabelle Comes Home).
Emma Tammi (The Wind) returns to direct the sequel based on the mega-hit video game series, with Five Nights at Freddy’s creator Scott Cawthon once again penning the script.
