MPX Boards Spider-One’s ‘Big Baby’ Slasher

Motion Picture Exchange (MPX) is launching worldwide sales at Berlin’s upcoming European Film Market for slasher film Big Baby, reports Variety.

Cher executive produced the meta slasher from director Spider-One (Founder and Frontman of rock band Powerman 5000, director of Little Bites).

The film follows a horror screenwriter named Adam Lewis, whose latest script is inspired by a recurring nightmare of a maniacal killer in a baby mask. When those visions begin to bleed into real life, Adam must confront his unraveling mind and stop the nightmare he may be bringing to life.

Brandon Scott (“Dead to Me,” “Channel Zero”), Krsy Fox (Terrifier 3), Cameron Cowperthwaite (“Fallout”), Catherine Corcoran (Terrifier), Torio Van Grol, Adam Marcinowski, Sierra McCormick and Chaz Bono (“American Horror Story”) star.

Said Spider-One, “I’m thrilled to be partnering with MPX. They immediately connected with the insane, psychological, meta, slasher madness of Big Baby!…[they] recognized how the film brutally carves out its own distinctive space in the genre.”

Added MPX co-founder and president Ryan Bury, “The film is bold, personal and unapologetically twisted, with a voice that feels distinctly its own. This is the kind of psychological slasher that horror fans will talk about for ages and we’re excited to bring it to buyers at EFM and introduce them to the new killer in town.”

Based on the still image alone of the titular slasher, it sure looks like Spider-One has given birth to another wild horror outing.
