An upcoming independent film, The Complex, is set to debut later this year, offering a psychological, surreal narrative.
The Complex follows Kark (Merek Alam) as the seemingly normal apartment he sought to escape his past becomes increasingly hostile and nightmarish. A sealed exit and an unexplainable encounter with a door force him deeper into the structure in order to escape or simply survive.
The film is both directed by and stars Merek Alam.
The production team includes Director of Photography Kody Murphy, Producer Emma Wood, Score and Sound Engineer Cain Pedersen, and Make-up and Props Master Isaac Tessman.
The Complex is produced by Bright Afternoon Productions LLC, with first-look images courtesy of the company. Further details, including an official release date, are expected to be announced in the coming months.
