‘Scary Movie’ Poster Spoofs Amy Madigan’s ‘Weapons’ Oscar Win!

The Oscars are underway, and the first major award has been announced: Amy Madigan won Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Weapons.

Paramount quickly released a brand-new teaser poster for Scary Movie that hilariously parodies the iconic Weapons villain, Aunt Gladys, with the punny tagline: “Aunt You Gladys I’m Back?”

Expect one for Sinners by the end of the night.

Twenty-six years after outrunning a suspiciously familiar masked killer (Ghostface), the Core Four are back in the killer’s crosshairs and no horror movie IP is safe.

Scary Movie brings back Dave Sheridan as Doofy, Cheri Oteri as Gale, Regina Hall as Brenda, Marlon Wayans as Shorty, and Anna Faris as Cindy.

Marlon Wayans (Shorty), Shawn Wayans (Ray), Anna Faris (Cindy), and Regina Hall (Brenda) reunite in Scary Movie alongside returning favorites and fresh faces to slash through reboots, remakes, requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror, origin stories, anything with the word legacy in it, and every “final chapter” that absolutely isn’t final. Nothing is sacred. No trope survives. Every line gets crossed. The Wayans are back to cancel the Cancel Culture.

For those keeping count, here are some of the movies lampooned in Scary MovieTerrifier 3, Weapons, Sinners, A Quiet Place, Annabelle, MA, Get Out, The Substance, andM3GAN – shit, it even takes multiple jabs (or stabs, if you will) at the new Scream films, which is the main reason the 2000 Scary Movie is so damn good.

Paramount Pictures will now release Scary Movie in theaters everywhere on June 5, 2026.
