Ready or Not‘s Samara Weaving is ready to get bloody once again in the red band trailer for Over Your Dead Body, in which Jason Segel attempts to kill his wife with hilarious results.
Wait, what? A husband wants to kill his wife who is… Samara Weaving? Okay, I’ll bite because this trailer looks like a trip. For a red band, it’s a bit soft, but the comedy is there, and it looks like a good time at the movies. I’m in.
So, in Over Your Dead Body, Segel and Weaving play a dysfunctional couple who head to a remote cabin to supposedly reconnect, but each has secret plans to kill the other. It’s a remake of the 2021 Norwegian film The Trip.
Timothy Olyphant (“Alien: Earth”), Paul Guilfoyle (“CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”), Keith Jardine (Love Lies Bleeding), and Juliette Lewis (“Yellowjackets”) also star.
The Lonely Island’s Jorma Taccone (Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping, MacGruber) directs the film in theaters on April 24.
Over Your Dead Body is rated R for “strong bloody violence, gore, sexual assault, pervasive language, and sexual content.”
