Deadites are set to take over theaters this summer when Evil Dead Burn arrives in theaters on July 10, 2026, but fans already have another chapter of the franchise on the horizon.
It was announced today through an official Instagram post that Evil Dead Wrath, the third film in the current standalone run of Evil Dead movies, has officially wrapped principal photography in New Zealand. The upcoming sequel is written and directed by Francis Galluppi (The Last Stop in Yuma County).
Plot details remain under wraps, but the announced cast includes Charlotte Hope (The Nun), Jessica McNamee (The Meg), Zach Gilford (Midnight Mass), Josh Helman (Mad Max: Fury Road), Ella Newton (Girl at the Window), Ella Oliphant (Black Snow), and Elizabeth Cullen (The Clearing). The film is currently scheduled to release in theaters on April 7, 2028.
Before that, audiences will get Evil Dead Burn, directed by Sébastien Vaniček (Infested) and starring Souheila Yacoub (Climax), Hunter Doohan (Wednesday), Luciane Buchanan (The Night Agent), and Tandi Wright (Pearl). The film is the latest standalone entry in the long-running horror franchise following Lee Cronin’s Evil Dead Rise (2023).
With Evil Dead Burn arriving this summer and Evil Dead Wrath now wrapped, the franchise’s next two chapters are officially on the way.
