Paramount Pictures has unveiled the first images from Heart of the Beast, the upcoming survival thriller starring Brad Pitt (World War Z). Directed by David Ayer (Suicide Squad), the film is set to open exclusively in theatres on September 25, 2026.

In Heart of the Beast, Pitt stars as Special Forces officer James Belmont, who survives a devastating plane crash in the remote Alaskan wilderness. Stranded far from civilization alongside his loyal combat dog, Odin, Belmont must battle the unforgiving elements and overwhelming odds to stay alive. As the pair face one life-threatening challenge after another, the film explores the powerful bond between a man and his best friend in the ultimate fight for survival.

Joining Pitt in the cast are J.K. Simmons (Whiplash, Juno) and Anna Lambe (True Detective: Night Country, The Grizzlies).

Presented by Paramount Pictures in association with Domain Entertainment and Gulfstream Pictures, Heart of the Beast is a Wild Chickens / Temple Hill / Kino World production. The film was written by Cameron Alexander and produced by Olivia Hamilton, Marty Bowen, David Ayer, and Brad Pitt.

Executive producers include Damien Chazelle, Scott Lumpkin, Cameron Alexander, Chris Long, Pete Chiappetta, Anthony Tittanegro, Andrew Lary, Sophie Cassidy, and Zack Conroy.
