EXCLUSIVE: Jamie Foster’s hunt for a killer is headed to the festival circuit. The new horror thriller Marrow, starring Michael Ironside (Scanners, Total Recall) and Danielle Harris (Halloween), will make its world premiere at the 12th Annual Popcorn Frights Film Festival in South Florida this August.
Marrow follows Jamie Foster (Jessica Dawn Willis), a once-famous true-crime podcaster desperate to reclaim her audience. When she invites an anonymous stalker onto her show—suspecting he may be linked to a series of influencer murders—her ratings explode. But as the mystery caller draws her deeper into a terrifying game of obsession, manipulation, and violence, Jamie discovers that some stories are too dangerous to chase.
In the exclusive clip, Jamie’s latest podcast recording is interrupted by persistent knocking at the door, leading her outside, where a mysterious figure silently watches from the edge of the woods.
Described as a razor-sharp, nerve-shredding descent into internet fame, viral obsession, and the horrors lurking behind the screen, Marrow asks one terrifying question: How far would you go for views? Dark, disturbing, and packed with twists that will leave audiences reeling, this is one world premiere horror fans won’t want to miss.
Directed by Mitch McLeod, the film is part of the festival’s first-wave lineup, which showcases 14 feature premieres during the 11-day genre celebration running August 6–16.
“As an overall horror fanatic and long-time fan of the festival, it is a real privilege to be invited to Florida to premiere Marrow for our Popcorn Frights debut,” says McLeod.
The film will have its World Premiere on Saturday, August 15th at the Popcorn Frights Film Festival (get tickets).
