One of the coolest horror collectibles on display at San Diego Comic-Con isn’t based on a slasher.
It’s the nightmare-inducing clown from Poltergeist.
Syndicate Collectibles is giving fans an early look at its upcoming 6-inch Poltergeist Clown Doll Action Figure, shrinking one of horror’s most traumatizing toys down to a collector-friendly size. If you missed out on the company’s massive six-foot life-size Clown currently shipping to collectors, or simply don’t have room for it, this may be the perfect alternative.
Currently slated for a 2027 release, the figure is still an early prototype and remains subject to change and final approval. Even so, the sculpt already captures the unsettling grin, wild hair, and creepy expression that made the clown one of the most unforgettable images from Tobe Hooper‘s 1982 supernatural classic. I need this.
While the Poltergeist clown stole the show for me, it wasn’t the only horror icon making an appearance at the Syndicate Collectibles booth.
Also on display was the upcoming Frendo action figure from Clown in a Cornfield. The prototype comes armed with a sickle, pitchfork, and axe, giving collectors plenty of display options ahead of its planned 2027 release.
Joining him is another fan-favorite slasher, Babyface, from Happy Death Day. The killer is making his action figure debut alongside other upcoming horror collectibles, including M3GAN (hiding in the background), with the prototype likewise slated for 2027 and subject to change before release.
Syndicate Collectibles is exhibiting all three figures throughout San Diego Comic-Con at Booth #2543, offering horror fans an early glimpse at what’s shaping up to be a very exciting 2027 lineup.
If the Poltergeist clown is any indication, collectors are going to have a very difficult time choosing just one.
