BEETLEJUICE came out in an age where horror and comedy could never mix, and yet somehow Tim Burton did it with the breakout hit that was to be about a goofy perverted ghost with a messed-up name. The rest was history as Tim Burton became a household name among the annuls of spirited and ambient filmmaking of the dark fantastic kind --

Aside from the cartoon that was released, BEETLEJUICE may have ended up just a cult classic, but then recently resurfaced in the news of entertainment for good reason. Here's why:

And this last one was kind of funny: he did say about how difficult it was for that one Day-O dinner scene to be filmed with the puppeteers under the table, grabbing the actors by the face and thrusting them back.

Not an easy feat since the puppeters had no way to know where the actors were as they sat. Of course, the actor who played Bernard, Delia's art agent, had a surprising suggestion on how to successfully film it:

Just film that particular part of the scene backwards! ....Smart.
