Production on the fourth season of Netflix’s “Stranger Things” is still on hold due to the ongoing pandemic – wear your damn mask! – which has given creators Matt and Ross Duffer some downtime to tease the season rather than actually film it. And speaking with Deadline, the Duffer Brothers just teased that some exciting guest stars will appear in Season 4.
“We have some cool ones… a couple ones this year,” the brothers told Deadline’s Pete Hammond. “It’s a really fun way to get to meet one of your icons, ya know? Write a part for them and see if they want to do it. We got to work with Paul Reiser and Sean Astin… these are actors who we grew up watching and loving. It’s just absolutely surreal.”
What else do we know about the upcoming fourth season? According to star Joe Keery – and he’s aware we’ve heard this about previous seasons – it’s going to be the scariest to date.
In the new season, Hopper is imprisoned in Russia. “Meanwhile, back in the states, a new horror is beginning to surface, something long buried, something that connects everything.”
