Horror and pro wrestling collide at tonight’s WWE event “The Horror Show at Extreme Rules,” the twelfth annual “Extreme Rules” event but the first with a brand new themed twist.
“The Horror Show at Extreme Rules” will feature a couple of horror-themed matches, including a “Swamp Fight” between Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt and the first-ever “Eye for an Eye Match” between Seth Rollins and Rey Mysterio. The latter match is set to be particularly bizarre, as the only way to win the match is by… ripping out your opponent’s eyeball.
In a less-horrifying match, Asuka will be defending the Raw Women’s Championship against Sasha Banks, and it’s Banks who is featured on a new poster released by WWE this weekend.
The art pays tribute to Ari Aster’s Midsommar, casting Banks as “The July Queen.” Check out the poster below and don’t miss “The Horror Show” at 7pm EST on the WWE Network.
