Shudder has unveiled the first official trailer for The Cycle, the latest horror feature from director Jordan Downey (The Head Hunter, V/H/S/Beyond).
In the film, “When the body of a man missing for thirty-six years is discovered at the scene of a horrific crime, it’s up to his estranged daughter to unravel his dark past.”
The Cycle stars Deborah Ann Woll (True Blood, Daredevil, God of War Ragnarök) and Jeffrey Donovan (Burn Notice).
The Cycle is produced by James Harris (Obsession, Fall) and Peter Heller.
Downey has quietly become one of horror’s most exciting genre filmmakers. After breaking out with the acclaimed dark fantasy horror film The Head Hunter, he most recently directed one of the standout segments in our V/H/S/Beyond. The Cycle marks his return to feature filmmaking with what sounds like another atmospheric, mystery-driven nightmare.
The film will premiere exclusively on Shudder on October 23.
