Arrow Films has acquired all rights in multiple territories on A Ghost Waits and Clapboard Jungle, two of the best-received films from this year’s Arrow Video FrightFest festival, Bloody Disgusting exclusively learned.
The romantic ghost story A Ghost Waits is the directorial debut of Adam Stovall that charmed its World Premiere audience at the Arrow Video FrightFest strand of the Glasgow International Film Festival in March 2020.
Starring MacLeod Andrews (Doctor Sleep, They Look Like People) and Natalie Walker, the film follows a young man employed to clean a house, only to find out it’s haunted and the spirit wants him out.
Arrow has acquired all rights for multiple territories including UK, Eire, US, Canada, Sth Africa, NZ and Australia.
A Ghost Waits was produced by Adam Stovall and Macleod Andrews, with Nicholas Thurkettle and John Mark James. Executive producers Bill Parag, Deborah Parag ad M. F. Thomas.
Clapboard Jungle is an emotional and introspective feature documentary from writer-director Justin McConnell (Lifechanger). Featuring interviews with filmmaker legends including Guillermo del Toro and Paul Schrader, the film follows five years of Justin’s life and career path to get a feature film made. It has been met with huge acclaim from many 2020 festival screenings including Fantasia, Sitges and Arrow Video FrightFest.
Arrow have acquired all rights for the UK, Eire, NZ and Australia, and additional home video rights for Canada.
Clapboard Jungle was produced by Justin McConnell, with Darryl Shaw. Executive producers are Avi Federgreen and Andrew van den Houten. Associate producers Ali Chappell, Chris Alexander, Kevin Burke, Leo Boehme, Brooklyn Boehme.
The UK-based premiere label for cult, art, horror and world cinema is planning digital and physical releases for both titles in Spring 2021.
