Instead of going to theaters as originally planned, Deadline reports today that The Grey director Joe Carnahan‘s new movie Boss Level will be going straight to Hulu in 2021.
The streaming service acquired U.S. rights to the film in an eight-figure deal.
Deadline details, “Grillo leads cast as former special forces agent Roy Pulver who is trapped in a time loop that constantly repeats the day of his murder. Pulver manages to uncover clues about a secret government project that could unlock the mystery behind his death but must find Colonel Ventor (Mel Gibson), the head of the government program, while outrunning assassins determined to keep him from the truth, and save his wife (Naomi Watts).”
Will Sasso, Ken Jeong, Annabelle Wallis and Michelle Yeoh also star.
Carnahan wrote the script with Chris Borey and Eddie Borey.
